We all have looked at a website and thought that is a nice font but wondered what it is.
Have you ever asked yourself… I wonder what that font is on a website, as I would like to use it? Only to find it is hard to find out. How do I see what fonts a website is using? Or how do I find the fonts on a website?
You can sometimes launch Chrome and explore the element but this does not always work. If this is the case we use a cool little free browser extension that lets you inspect, try, buy and bookmark fonts found any website. Most importantly this cool browser extension just lets you know the font on the website.
FontFace Ninja
The extension can be used to find fonts on Chrome, Safari and Firefox browsers. Double to click to install in Safari and open the Chrome store, find and install. Simple as that. Using it couldn’t be easier as well. The extension adds a small icon at the top of your browser bar, simply click to launch and mouse over any text on a website and you find the font on any website. You can navigate throughout any website to find the fonts used. Moving the mouse over fonts give you the font name, font size, font line height and also colour of the font. You can also favourite fonts.
It’s just an all-round cool extension. We think this a great small tool for finding fonts on a website and hope that you find it as useful as we do. You certainly have no need to ask ‘How to see what fonts a website is using’ any more.
